Make it just another Spring day

OCALA, Fla.–(Business Wire)–Most voters are fooled into thinking April 15 is the only day we pay income tax. The fooling started on February 3, 1913 with the adoption of the 16th Amendment. It gave Congress the power to directly tax the individual and undid the limited taxing power of government as protected by the Constitution. The drafters of the Constitution understood that prosperity is based upon individual liberties. The 16th Amendment enables the income tax, I.R.S., regressive payroll taxes, and tax withholding. The foolishness starts with us, the final consumer, not understanding we are being deceived all year long as we pay the business taxes too, as a hidden/embedded regressive sales tax on average of $.27-.29 per dollar. Taxes are just another cost to business and more costs mean higher prices. The foolishness continues as we spend over $450 billion annually to comply, file the income tax and to stay out of jail. Some fools believe taxing the rich works as the tax tables divide us into classes while the deductions, exemptions and loopholes reduce what is actually paid. The rich who typically avoid income from wages move their wealth to void taxation. The same is true of businesses which keep huge amounts of wealth/assets/earnings offshore. A growing percent of voters wrongly look to government to provide the solution when the best government can do is take from some and give to others. This win-lose scam on the people always results in a win for the ruling class of politicians and unelected officials. The over 76,000 pages of federal tax code is ridiculous as it is too complicated to understand, manage and implement. Congress is unwisely ignoring the growing tax evasion problem, soon to be $1 trillion per year.

Increasing wealth for a country results in a higher standard of living for all, so the income/payroll tax system makes no sense as it punishes wealth creation and production.

Once you understand the FAIRtax, you will demand it.

The foolishness of the present income/payroll tax system can be ended with a wise tax system that meets five principles of tax reform. First, a tax system should be fair and treat all people the same. The code must be simple and easy to understand. Taxes must be transparent with no embedded, hidden and deceiving taxes. The system should support economic growth and not tax jobs, income, savings and investment. And finally, the new system should be revenue neutral to collect the same total revenue as the replaced tax system.

The solution is to stop the dictatorial taxing power by repealing the 16th Amendment. We can end the present income/payroll tax system by replacing it with a progressive national sales/consumption tax system as presented by the FAIRtax bill, HR 25. Learn more at www.bigsolution.org. As Ron Maiellaro, President of Florida Fair Tax Educational Association, often states about the FAIRtax, “When you understand it, you will demand it.”

Florida Fair Tax Educational Association is a 501(c) (3) to inform and educate the citizens on alternatives to the current system of federal taxation based on the following principles: fairness, simplicity, transparency, pro-economic growth and revenue neutrality.
